 C.J. Burn, CRPC®

Managing Director, Founder

As the Founder of the firm, C.J. specializes in helping Cloud Architects with their financial strategy and financial transformation journey by connecting their life goals to our Cloud WealthMapping Framework.

C.J. began his career in 1999 as an Investment Management Analyst for Salomon Smith Barney (now Morgan Stanley Smith Barney). As an analyst, he assisted in the portfolio manager selection and performance monitoring of the portfolios of various non-profit and institutional clients in Washington DC.

Although investment analysis was of great interest to C.J., the desire to see clients successfully achieve their lifetime goals and to guide them along that journey was a growing motivating force within him. In 2004, he decided to transition his career from being an Investment Analyst to becoming a Financial Advisor. This transition began with Bank of America and Wells Fargo Advisors.

In 2009, C.J. recognized that the tax liability on his clients’ income and wealth was increasing and causing clients to keep less of what they earned. He envisioned partnering with a tax firm that would collaborate in providing effective wealth and tax management services toward improving client goals over time. After an exhaustive interview process, he chose to partner with Hundley CPAs Corporation (“HCPAs”). In 2015, HCPAs became Hundley Burn LLC.

In 2019, C.J. founded Wealth Transition Advisors LLC so that he could maintain his independence and also focus providing his specialized services exclusively for Cloud Architects and their families.

C.J. holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor® designation (CRPC®) from the College of Financial Planning. Individuals that hold the CRPC® designation have completed a course of study encompassing pre-and post-retirement needs, asset management, estate planning and the entire retirement planning process utilizing models and techniques from real client situations. C.J. also received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Maryland, College Park, Md.

C.J. resides in NJ with his wife (Lisa) three children (Evan, Dylan and Josie) and their bulldog (Simon). He enjoys being a volunteer coach for various youth sports, playing soccer, golf, basketball, boating, jet skiing, doing yard work, upgrading his pick-up truck, learning new trades and spending time with his clients and their families.
